Kaylea and Josh came to me after having known Kaylea and her sweet family for years. Her main goal was to capture some updated portraits of her and her husband. She knew she wanted something local to the area and I had been wanting to try a new venue, so this was the perfect opportunity to photograph at a stunning venue known as The Rockwater. The Rockwater is a local venue that offers panoramic views with breathtaking mountain backdrops. The versatility in areas on the property are ideal for differing styles as well.

Kaylea and Josh were such a fun couple to work with; there sense of humor had us laughing the entire time. They also brought along there adorable little daschund that was very photogenic. Kaylea was styled in a floral two piece dress from my client closet which paired perfectly with her skin tone and hair color. We started the session in the field parallel to the barn on the property.

As mentioned earlier, we were constantly laughing. There was never a dull moment during this session with Kaylea and Josh. Even when she was bursting with laughter, she was gorgeous.

About mid way through our session, we realized time was against us, as we were racing against a thunderstorm rolling in. From the field, we moved to there perimeter of the barn where there were multiple floral spots and an harbor with steps. Following these, we moved closer to the rock wall and ultimately ended under the larger harbor that is covered with a transparent roofing which prevented us from the rainstorm passing through.

Reece joined in several of these shots, propping her little paws on Kaylea's shoulders. This pup is one of the most photogenic dogs I've ever photographed and I loved every minute of it. The picturesque barn and rock wall were perfect backdrops, offering their florals and elegantly rustic vibes to the pictures.

Kaylea and Josh loved their session and I am honored they chose me to capture these. Not really having any portraits as a couple since their wedding, the significance and importance of capturing their love for each other as a milestone since their wedding day was monumental. We ended the session with a few of them dancing and then some individual portraits of sweet little Reece, per Kaylea's request.
